Any chat can create a co-wallet — or a bunch of them!

<aside> ⏲️ A note on availability. Currently:

• Co-wallets are enabled for people holding web3 IDs in their wallets (e.g. ENS names, Unstoppable Domains)
• Co-wallets are enabled on Ethereum and Polygon (not Solana, yet)

We included these constraints to help with a smooth rollout (for you and us!) and plan to remove them soon.

Activate

1. On the Chat screen, tap the wallet icon in the top right. Tap Activate

   If you’re adding an additional co-wallet, tap the wallet address to view the co-wallet list, then tap Activate New Co-Wallet (at the bottom)

2. On the Activate page, you have a few choices to make:

   1. First, choose how many Approvals are required. That's how many people need to agree to take an action with group assets.
   2. Next, choose a blockchain Network. This determines the assets the co-wallet can hold and the cost to activate it

   Don’t overthink this — you can always add the other one(s) later on.

3. Tap Preview to review your choices, then sign to Confirm and activate the wallet.

Cost

• Because creating a co-wallet writes data to the blockchain, it requires a Network Fee (”gas”) to activate one.
• Tribes does not charge any fee.
